It can be used in both parallel configurations where you have several cell packs working together and any one pack can be disabled without affecting the rest of the system. In series applications each slave controls up to 16 cells and up to a total of 15 packs, allowing system voltages in the 500-800 volts DC range.
This special version is custom made for applications where you want to have several 4S 12V packs connected in parallel, although it can be used for up to 16 LFP cells. Not for use with 16 LiPo cell applications.
